The BLT Pizza is something that we have been playing around with for a while and we had posted a few versions of it on here over the years but never with it’s own dedicated recipe post. I’ve gone through some of my old posts and found our absolute favorite version of this pizza!
You will need:
- Pizza Dough (your own recipe or ours)
- Olive Oil (for the “sauce”)
- Cooked Bacon (as much as you desire)
- Fresh mozza or Bocconcini
- Lettuce (shredded)
- Tomato (diced)
- Dill Pickles (diced)
- Ranch Dressing
- Fresh Cracked Pepper to taste
Roll out the pizza dough and brush with Olive Oil, then add cooked bacon and mozza and grill on the Big Green Egg Pizza Stone as you normally would (600F for 4-5 minutes)
Once the pizza comes off the egg, let it cool for about 5 minutes on a wire rack so the bottom does not go soggy on you, then top with lettuce, tomatoes & pickles. Yes I said pickles and yes that was the secret ingredient that took this BLT Pizza over the top!!! Trust us!
… then ranch dressing and fresh cracked pepper to taste!
I’ll warn you, it’s sloppy to eat, but it’s worth the mess!!!
